Since 2005, the Somawathi Home has become much more than just an orphanage; 104 abandoned and orphaned children are given a loving and safe home, but we also give a great deal of attention to good and practical training and the best possible medical care. And the children from the region can also make use of these facilities! We not only want to give the best possible care to the children from the Somawathi Home, but we want to ensure that in the future, they can stand on their own two feet. We do not let our children down when they turn 18! A secure future for all our children is our highest goal. To continue to make this possible, we need your help. Support us! There are many ways you can show your love and care for the Somawathi children.

“Together with 124 other children I live in the children’s village Somawathi Home. We are the largest family in Sri Lanka! This is our home, where we can
also go to the doctor and where we can learn a lot. I already speak English, am learning carpentry, planting banana trees and following computer lessons. The Sri Lanka Orphanage Foundation raises money for us, as we grow up and become adults, to give us a good future. Will you help too? Or come and visit us! “
